SweQR Refund Policy
Cancellations, withdrawals and transaction refunds
Effective date: 26 August 2026 · Last updated: 26 August 2026
1. Purpose and relationship with Paddle
This Refund Policy explains cancellation, statutory withdrawal and refund handling for paid SweQR plans, subscriptions and add-ons. It applies alongside the SweQR Terms of Use, the Paddle Buyer Terms and the Paddle Refund Policy. If mandatory law or Paddle’s applicable transaction terms provide the buyer with greater non-waivable rights, those rights prevail.
Paid SweQR transactions are sold and processed by Paddle as authorised reseller and Merchant of Record. Paddle handles checkout, payment collection, applicable taxes, transaction receipts, recurring charges and transaction refunds. SweQR supplies and operates the SweQR Service and handles product delivery, account access, QR functionality and product support.
2. General refund rule
Except where required by applicable law, the Paddle Refund Policy or an express written SweQR offer, paid transactions are non-refundable and non-exchangeable. Cancellation of a subscription normally prevents the next renewal and does not create a refund for time already used or for the remaining part of the current paid period.
A refund may nevertheless be available where a mandatory withdrawal right applies, the Service was materially not delivered or did not conform to the applicable agreement, SweQR ends an already-paid service period early, or Paddle approves a discretionary refund under its Refund Policy. Fraud, refund abuse or manipulative conduct may result in refusal of a discretionary refund and may lead to account or payment review.
3. Subscription cancellation
You may cancel a recurring subscription through the billing controls in your SweQR account, the Paddle customer portal, the link in the transaction confirmation or paddle.net. Unless the confirmation or mandatory law states otherwise, cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid billing period. Paid features continue until then and no further renewal charge is made.
Account deletion does not automatically cancel an active Paddle subscription. Complete cancellation through Billing or Paddle before the account-deletion process can finish. Account deletion alone does not create a refund right.
4. Statutory withdrawal and consumer remedies
Consumers in the EU or EEA generally have a 14-day statutory withdrawal right for certain distance contracts, subject to the rules and exceptions for digital services or content made available at the consumer’s express request. Paddle’s Refund Policy explains how the withdrawal period applies to the first subscription payment and other covered transactions. Mandatory rights relating to a service that is not delivered, not as described, faulty or otherwise non-conforming are not limited by this Policy.
Other countries may provide different mandatory cancellation or withdrawal periods. Paddle applies the country-specific rights stated in its Refund Policy. Nothing in this Policy reduces a right that cannot lawfully be waived.
5. Service problems
For a product or account problem, contact hello@sweqr.com and provide the account email, affected plan or transaction reference, relevant QR identity and a clear description of the issue. SweQR may first attempt to restore access, correct an entitlement, repair the Service or provide another legally permitted remedy. Contacting SweQR does not prevent you from using Paddle’s refund route or exercising a mandatory right within its deadline.
An external destination outage, customer-controlled DNS failure, printing problem, incompatible scanning condition, customer configuration error, breach of the Terms, safety restriction or third-party service outside SweQR’s reasonable control does not automatically create a refund right. Mandatory rights remain unaffected.
6. Add-ons, upgrades and reductions
Refund eligibility for add-ons and one-time adjustments follows the same legal and Paddle criteria as the related transaction. An increase may be charged as shown in checkout. A scheduled reduction or removal normally takes effect at the end of the already-paid period unless the confirmation states otherwise. Reducing or removing capacity does not create a refund for the current period unless required by law or expressly approved.
7. Effect of a refund on SweQR access and QR identities
A confirmed full refund of the current paid period ends the corresponding paid entitlement. A partial refund or adjustment does not by itself end the subscription or entitlement unless the confirmation states otherwise. SweQR may hold an ambiguous event for manual reconciliation.
A refund, cancellation or billing adjustment does not delete, recycle or reassign an issued Dynamic QR identity. Shared-host redirect continuity, destination editing, analytics, capacity and Custom Domain behaviour follow the SweQR Terms of Use and the confirmed entitlement and lifecycle state. A permanent service shutdown remains governed by the orderly wind-down provisions in the Terms.
8. How to request a refund
Use the “View receipt” or “Manage subscription” link in the Paddle transaction email, the support link in the SweQR billing page, or paddle.net and select the refund option. You may also contact hello@sweqr.com for product support or to explain a Service issue. Because Paddle is Merchant of Record, Paddle processes the transaction refund and normally returns approved funds to the original payment method.
Submit a request within the applicable statutory or Paddle period and include enough information to identify the transaction. Paddle’s transaction records may be used to verify eligibility and timing but do not override mandatory rights.
9. Taxes and tax refunds
Paddle calculates, collects and remits applicable VAT, sales tax, GST and similar transaction taxes as Merchant of Record. A business buyer seeking a tax refund or exemption should use Paddle’s buyer-support route and provide the documentation required by Paddle and applicable law. A tax refund is separate from a refund of the SweQR subscription price.
10. Changes to this Policy
SweQR may update this Policy for legal, Paddle, product or operational changes. The version in effect for a transaction applies together with the Paddle Buyer Terms and Paddle Refund Policy presented for that transaction. Material changes will not remove accrued or mandatory rights.
